A pool fence inspection in Manly West this week was a nice little drive to the Bayside suburbs. I also service Wynnum, Tingalpa, Ransome and Gumdale just to name a few. This client last had an inspection almost 2 years ago but it was a consultation. A consultation is an inspection you can have done just to ensure the safety of your loved ones and neighbouring children. You don’t get a government issued Pool Safety Certificate but you get something in writing from the pool safety inspector. This time around however the client was selling their house and needed an official Pool Safety Certificate. I must be on a streak of certifying pools located in the front yard because here I am again.
This one was not a corner block so it only had one frontage and the pool stood between the house and the nature strip. The front fence had brick pillars with aluminium pool fence between them. Something I’ve not come across before though was the foliage at the top of the fence. It was a vine of some sort and although a child could grab it and try to pull themselves up they would only get tangled up in the process so I had no problem with that.
The one point of contention was an electrical/Telstra box near the corner of the fence. It provided a step up being so close to the fence. A large sign-like barrier had been erected to combat scaling the fence. It was quite effective in this regard. It did stick out like a sore thumb though. At least the trees on the nature strip and positioned closer to the road hid it from view a bit.
Maybe you have a sticky spot like that on your pool fence and need a second opinion then be sure to ask me out for a consultation. I service all East of Brisbane suburbs in the Bayside region.
